Essential heart Care Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care team leader working from our head office in Poole.

This is a busy and varied role and includes the support of new care staff in the completion of the company induction programme, shadowing with new staff to ensure that best practices are observed.  There will be a responsibility to take the lead on infection control and in ensuring the ongoing safety and well being of our service users in all aspects of care and support.  You will also carry out competency assessments with existing staff to ensure that company training and care standards are being met. You will also be required to assist with care calls on some occasions and various other tasks in the office and out in the community.

You will need to have at least an NVQ 2 in health and social care and have a good understanding of the care certificate, principles of care and the importance of safeguarding adults.

You will need to be proficient in both verbal and written communication and have good IT skills.

You will be required to work a shift pattern of any 5 out of 7 days and this will include some evening and weekends.

Essential heart Community Assessor Full Time - Poole Branch

If you are looking for the next step in your career in care, then this varied and busy role is just what you are looking for.

We are looking for a Community Care Assessor to carry out initial assessments with new service users, you will be the first face of Essential that our new service users see!

You will also be required to carry out ongoing reviews with service users as their needs change.

In the office you will be required to give support in preparing MAR charts, supporting the care staff in the community with medication queries, typing assessments and support plans and preparing and delivering service user files.

You will need to have a strong background in community care and be outgoing, cheerful and flexible.

We provide a company car to get you out and about to visit the service users.

Essential heart Standby On Call Care worker

We have a flexible opportunity for a Standby On Call Care worker in the Poole and Bournemouth areas.

If you are already working in a care environment and would like some flexibility in your role then this role is just what you are looking for.

The On Call Care role is weekend work and we are happy to be flexible to fit around your requirements, whether you are available every weekend all weekend, every Saturday, every Sunday or even alternate weekends then we would love to hear from you!

You will receive a payment for each day that you are on call and if you are required to deliver care you will also receive payment for each care call that you carry out at the appropriate rate.

You will need to undertake or hold an Enhanced DBS check.
You need your own transport for the role.

Essential heart On Call Co-Ordinator

We are looking for a weekend and evening on call co-ordinator to work alongside our current on call team.

Our on-call co-ordinator will provide advice and support to our staff and service users. Our on-call system is extremely robust with support from additional staff back up. This position is mainly home based, however there is requirement for two hours in the office (alt Saturday and every Sunday morning from 0830 – 1030 hours).

The remainder of the on call is worked from home. A phone is provided, and the successful applicant will have experience of working within the care industry, excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a fast paced environment and experience of working under their own initiative and as part of the team.

The salary is extremely competitive for the right applicant and full training and support will be given.
