We want to take this opportunity to wish all of our staff and service users a very merry Christmas and a happy and Healthy 2018.

Santa has been busy this week and has delivered a hamper to our service user Mrs O who won our “What Essential means to me” competition. Mrs O told us:

Essential means to me,
Help with my disability.
With a smile,
The carers go that extra mile.

A lovely hamper of chocolate goodies was hand delivered to Mrs O who was delighted and said, “That’s a lovely spread. I’ll be on my own for Christmas and I will enjoy it.”

Every year we spread our Christmas cheer and donate three hampers to service users in our local area. This week these three hampers have been delivered and our service users were delighted.

Mr and Mrs S were also delighted as was the lucky recipient of our Dorchester hamper Mrs H.

From us all at Essential we wish you a wonderful Christmas.

We are currently fundraising for the local MS Centre in Christchurch and as soon as we hit our £500 target we will proudly be presenting a cheque to them too. We hope to work with many local charities over the course of 2018 to assist them with their fundraising targets. If you would like to nominate a charity that you feel would benefit from our fundraising efforts, please do let us know.

We are proud to support Forest Holme Hospice and Dignity in Dementia.

Staff reward
We continue to give away free money for anyone who recommends staff to us! Carolyn Leonard was our latest staff member to receive a thank you from us for recommending a friend and popped into our Head Office to collect £150 from Jess in our accounts team.
“Thank you so much for raising an absolutely fantastic amount of money for Forest Holme. We are incredibly grateful for your support. There are not many companies that put in such a huge amount of effort as you have."

Rotary Bike Ride 2016

On the 18th September our Director and her family undertook a gruelling Rotary charity bike ride in aid of Cancer Research UK. Over 800 riders joined Rose, Mark and Emily who cycled over 100 miles between the three of them.

We are delighted to now be working alongside Marie Curie, assisting with both their palliative care nights and Fast Track Assessments. These are such rewarding positions and enable our staff to work with service users at their hour of need.
